Growing up in Squaw Valley and spending time in the various neighborhoods that make up the Lake Tahoe area, I experienced first hand the beauty of the Sierras and the bounty of activities that are available here.
As the youngest of eight children in a legendary skiing family, I learned at an early age that to reach success in any endeavor, there are generally these elements involved: set realistic goals, get current and accurate information, work hard and have a sense of humor.
My passion for skiing and ski racing skills that were honed on the mountains of Squaw Valley as a child, combined with work ethic and dedication, took me around the world. I competed for the United States for 14 years on the alpine World Cup circuit and in three Olympic Games.
Ski career highlights:

* 18 individual World Cup wins
* 99 World Cup Podium finishes -in all 5 disciplines, Sl., G.S., S.G.,DH & Comb.

* 3 bronze medals- Combined- World Championships 1985,& 1987; G.S. Vail 1989
* 10 national championship titles.
After retiring from the World Cup circuit in 1990, I returned home to live full time in Squaw Valley and raise my family here. I attended the University of Nevada & Sierra College, studying Business Law, and Real Estate & German.
Skiing continues to be a big part of my life. Along with working full -time selling real estate with Sotheby’s International Realty, I coach part -time for the Squaw Valley Ski Team (SVST). Coaching the junior racers gives me a chance to give back to skiing and share the sport with my daughter, Francesca. There are over 800 kids in the SVST program. In 2009, the SVST was awarded “Best junior ski racing program in the U.S.” These young athletes and their families are also a great client base for homes in Squaw Valley and the surrounding Tahoe area.
Since 1979, I have dealt with several phases of the real estate business; from bare land through the building process. I have run a successful local business and continue to be closely involved in the community. This knowledge base, in addition to working for many years in real estate, in both sales and rentals, has given me genuine hands-on knowledge of the Squaw Valley and Tahoe area real estate market.
