About Tamara
Growing up skiing in Squaw Valley and running around in the various neighborhoods that make up the Lake Tahoe area, Tamara experienced first hand, the bounty of things to do and beauty to see in Tahoe. As the youngest of eight children in a legendary skiing family, she learned early on the importance of hard work & dedication along with a sense a humor are great assets in this world. The skiing and ski racing skills that were honed on the mountains of Squaw Valley as a child, combined with work ethic and dedication, eventually took Tamara around the globe to compete for the United States in three Olympic Games and 14 years on the alpine World Cup circuit. She became the first American woman to win the overall World Cup Title, 3 World Cup Discipline Titles, 18 individual World Cup wins, a gold medal, 4 bronze medals & 10 national titles.
After retiring from ski racing, Tamara returned home to live full time in Squaw Valley and raise her family here. Along with selling real estate with Chase International, Tamara coaches for the Squaw Valley Ski Team on the weekends. The SVST was awarded “Best race program in the country.” Coaching gives Tamara a chance to give back to the sport of skiing. With over 800 kids in the entire SVST program this is also a great opportunity to meet new buyers & sellers! Tamara has dealt with all phases of real estate from bare land through the building process. Having run a successful local business, as well as many years of real estate experience and genuine knowledge of the Tahoe area market, she looks forward to helping you reach your real estate goals.
